We long for our voices to linger in space and time. Some of us even desire for those voices to define, and to control that which is around us. With amplification comes the falsehood of domination in the absolute, a hollow narcissistic promise of power beyond the moment of utterance. Nothing holds, and echoes are rarely a mirror, rather they affirm just one certainty; the uncontrollable ever-shifting unsteadiness that is the dynamics of decay.
